free cell phone tracking app is easy to use an extremely cool. Google has jumped on two bandwagons with the Latitude cell phone tracker. It's a social networking program and a mobile phone tracking application all wrapped up into one.
If you want to use this free
cell phone GPS tracking application, you simply download and install it onto your phone and then sign up for a free Gmail account if you don't have one yet. You can control how closely your friends will be able to track you with a privacy setting called show city level only. If this setting is configured for particular friends, those friends won't be able to tell your exact physical address. They will only be able to telle you are in the city.
There may be times when you want your privacy and you'd rather people not be able to locate you. You'll have your choice of two privacy settings for this. Privacy setting number one is called hide from friend. No explanation is required for this setting. If you choose to use this privacy setting for any of the friends in your Google Latitude friends list, those friends will not be able to see you on their Google Latitude map. The second setting that you can setup is called hide my location. If you select this privacy setting, none of your friends will be able to track you down with the Google Latitude cell phone tracker at all.
You must subscribe to the Internet through your cell phone service provider in order to be able to use the service. Using Google Latitude will only cost you as much as you have to pay for data usage.
