Warhammer has come a long way from its humble 1983 beginning. Warhammer was originally a table a tabletop fantasy role-playing game with mini figures you battled with, and this was all set in an illustrious background fill with characters like humans, elves of many kind, like dark elves, wood elves high elves, you then had your dwarves , undead, orcs, lizard men, ogres. That was just to start with as the game evolved more characters were added like the Space Wolves
. The first ever Warhammer game was in 1983 and this game was created by a crew called Game Workshop. The name of the game was Warhammer Fantasy Battles. The rules were your basic rules of these types of role-playing games you’re given a background and a bit of history on your characters. The game did well and the next game was Warhammer Fantasy Role-play in 1986 and the backdrop was now the setting and the world you game took place in. Many novels have been written based on the Warhammer world and its character. The War Hammer world is mostly taken from a variety of other popular fantasy works like Tolkien and Michael Murdock novels also inspired was a bit of history too.

2004 Warhammer 40,000 evolved into the video game world with Warhammer 4k : Dawn of War
2006 Warhammer 40,000 Dark Crusade,
2007 Warhammer Squad Command was the games next release as video game for the PSP and DS.
2008 Warhammer went online with Age of Reckoning. With a new story yet same setting in the world of Warhammer.
2009 marked Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II.
There is even talk about another game coming out sometime in 2010 as well.
